Here’s how we rated the Tottenham Hotspur players following the opening forty-five minutes of action against Luton Town in today’s Premier League early kick-off against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.

Ange Postecoglou’s side head into the break currently level at 0-0 in a match in which Spurs could have been comfortably 4-0 ahead.

Guglielmo Vicario: With the nature of how the first half has gone, he has been a spectator for large portions of it. 6.

Pedro Porro: Should have had his name on the scoresheet but pulled his shot wide. 6.

Cristian Romero: A comfortable half from the World Cup winner who has not been overly troubled by the Luton forward line, showing his new composure when dealing with the physical nature of Morris and Adebayo. 6.

Micky van de Ven: Comfortable at the back, even had a chance on goal after a quarter of an hour which went high over the bar.  Has been impressive driving forward with the ball. 7.

Destiny Udogie: Called up to the Italian senior side earlier in the week.  Was thankful that there was a foul on Romero when Luton thought they had scored when he switched off for a split second, thinking the ball would go behind rather than come back off the post. 6.

Pape Matar Sarr: Did well to steal the ball and drive forward to create the chance for Kulusevski. 6.

Yves Bissouma: Booked and received a second yellow for a silly dive on the stroke of half time. 5.

James Maddison: Set up Richarlison for the Brazilian’s second opportunity to score with a neat through ball.  Has been causing Luton all sorts of problems and had half a chance to score just before the break.   7.

Dejan Kulusevski: Played a beautiful cross for the early Richarlison chance.  Has looked dangerous down the right with more than one good ball into the area.  Thought he had opened the scoring only to see Kaminski push the ball beyond the post. 7.

Heung-min Son: His through ball for Porro’s chance was inch-perfect.  Had his first sight of goal from a Maddison-headed knock-down but fired his shot over the bar. 6.

Richarlison: Had a brilliant chance to open the scoring in the opening two minutes but couldn’t wrap his foot around the ball in time from a couple of yards out.  Had another great opportunity to score minutes later but his effort was at the feet of the keeper.  He could have had a hat-trick  5.
