According to Bettingexpert’s supercomputer, BETSiE (as relayed by Football.London), Tottenham Hotspur are expected to miss out on a top-four finish this season.
Spurs are sitting two points clear at the top of the Premier League table after ten matches, with some pundits beginning to discuss whether the Lilywhites could do the improbable and challenge the likes of Manchester City for the Premier League title (ESPN FC).
According to the calculations of Bettingexpert’s supercomputer, the answer to that question is a resounding ‘no’.
Where will Spurs finish this season in the league?
The supercomputer simulated the remainder of the Premier League season 100,000 times using a new algorithm, and it deduced that Manchester City would win their fourth consecutive title by amassing 86.7 points on average while Arsenal are projected to finish second again on 80.4 points, just ahead of Liverpool with 79.1 points.
According to the calculations, it is predicted that Tottenham will lose eight of their remaining 26 Premier League games and would be pipped to fourth spot by Newcastle United by 1.3 points.
The supercomputer has Aston Villa and Brighton finishing in sixth and seventh respectively with Chelsea and Man United just behind them.

The algorithm would have likely taken into account variables like xG for and against in the first ten matches of the season, and it has perhaps concluded that Tottenham’s form is not sustainable, given the chance we give up every game. Time will tell if the predictions are correct or not.
