When covering the story on their live blog (16:47 on 30/01/22), The Mirror claimed Bissouma could be on the way out before the January transfer window closes.
The Daily Mirror previously claimed that Tottenham Hotspur were considering making deadline day swoops for Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma and Nottingham Forest right-back Djed Spence.
Dejan Kulusevski looks set to be Tottenham’s first signing of the January transfer window, with the winger expected to arrive in London today to seal his transfer from Juventus (Fabrizio Romano).
Spurs are also thought to be close to agreeing on a deal for Kulusevski’s Juve teammate Rodrigo Bentancur (Gianluca Di Marzio).
The Mirror report claimed that Brighton would be open to selling Bissouma at the right price as the midfielder is now into the final 18 months of his contract at the Amex Stadium.
Spurs Web Opinion
If Spurs do hold a serious interest in Bissouma, one would think that the club consider him as an alternative to Bentancour. It would not make sense to sign both of them, with Winks, Skipp and Hojbjerg set to stay. At this point, the Uruguayan seems like the one who is more likely to arrive through the door.
