According to The Times, Tottenham are interested in signing Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma this summer.

Brighton are reportedly asking for a fee in the region of £30 million in order to let Bissouma depart the AMEX Stadium this summer.

The Mali international has impressed during his time on the South coast, amassing 124 appearances for the Seagulls in a four year period (TransferMarkt).

With The Times tipping Spurs and Aston Villa to battle for the combative 25-year-old, 90Min have suggested that Newcastle United are also keen on the acquisition of Bissouma as they look to bolster their midfield options.

Antonio Conte has reportedly demanded six new signings for his Spurs squad next season, including a new central midfielder (Mirror).

With Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur seemingly forming an impressive partnership in recent weeks and Oliver Skipp signing a new five-year contract at the club (Football.London), adding a player of Bissouma’s quality would provide much-needed depth to the Spurs midfield.

The expected departure of Harry Winks could provide Spurs with the perfect opportunity to upgrade this position (Football.London).

This would be a real statement of intent. Bissouma has bossed almost every game he has participated in this season, including a marauding display in Brighton’s victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. For the reported fee of £30 million, this has to be a no-brainer for Fabio Paratici and co.
