Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar, has seemingly singled out that he would be open to joining Arsenal this summer.

Bissouma was reportedly on Tottenham’s radar in January, with Spurs alleged to be battling the likes of Man Utd and Aston Villa for the midfielder’s signature during the final few days of the window (The Daily Mail).

The midfielder has only 12 months left to run on his contract at the Amex Stadium (Transfermarkt) and so a summer exit seems to be on the cards unless he signs a new contract with the club.

The Mail international is said to have informed the Seagulls of his desire to leave (90 min) while The Daily Express previously claiming that Graham Potter’s men have slapped a £50m asking price on the 25-year-old’s head amidst interest from both Spurs and Arsenal.

This week, Bissouma took to his Instagram story to post several clips featuring his two assists for Mali in an AFCON qualifier win over Congo.

According to Football.London, the clips had initially been posted by an Arsenal fan along with the caption: “For me, I think he and Tielemans should be our priority at midfield, we must get @yvesbissouma at all cost @Arsenal.”

The second one read: “I’ve been following up on Bissouma and I think he’s the one to replace Partey long-term, he’s just 25.”

Football London described this as a ‘potential come and get me plea’ – with the Brighton star arguably signalling his desire to swap the Brentford Community Stadium for the Emirates this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

I am surprised at the lack of interest in Bissouma from any of the top six so far this summer. Given his contract situation, the 25-year-old will likely end up costing much less than the likes of Ruben Neves or James Ward-Prowse. I can see Spurs entering the race for the Seagulls star late in the window.
