The Evening Standard have revealed on their live transfer blog (31/01/22 – 9:40 AM) that Tottenham Hotspur are set to announce their captures of Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur this afternoon.

The Juventus pair now look set to be the first arrivals of the Antonio Conte era at Spurs.

Kulusevski has not lived up to his potential in Turin after the Serie A giants picked up him from Atalanta two years ago following his breakthrough season on loan at Parma.

The Swede will be hoping that he can get his career back on track in North London under Conte’s guidance.

Bentancur, on the other hand, was a key part of Juve’s Scuddeto wins in the 2018/19 and 2019/20 campaigns but the Uruguayan’s form has dipped over the last 18 months.

The Evening Standard have revealed that Kulusevski completed his medical at Hotspur Way on Sunday night while Bentancur did so while on international duty in South America.

It is explained that Tottenham’s content team are now working on the pair’s unveiling.

Spurs Web Opinion

These are two solid yet unspectacular additions for Spurs, which is the most we could have hoped for in January. Both players will fit well into Conte’s system.

While there is an element of risk with both transfers, there is also a big upside, especially with Kulusevski, who is still only 21 years of age and has plenty of time to develop.
