Tottenham Hotspur star Rodrigo Bentancur has been spotted back at Hotspur Way as part of his rehabilitation process following the ACL injury which is set to keep him out until later this year.
Bentancur signed for Tottenham in January 2022 from Juventus and has gone on to become one of the most important players in the Lilywhites squad.
The Uruguay international was enjoying a terrific season from an individual perspective, with six goals and two assists in 26 appearances across all competitions for Spurs (Transfermarkt).
Bentancur’s season was cut short however, when injury forced him off the field in the second half of the 4-1 defeat against Leicester City in early February.
The nature of the injury meant it was clear Bentancur would miss the rest of this season. Initial reports suggested the 25-year-old would be out until September (Evening Standard).
A later report from Sky Sports suggested November could be a more realistic window for a return to first-team action for Bentancur.
According to Doctor Rajpal Brar it could actually be up to two years before Bentancur is back to his best.
That will be a worrying prospect for anyone connected with Tottenham, who know just how valuable the player is to the team.
While a full recovery may be some way off, a photo shared by The Spurs Web on Twitter revealed Bentancur is back at Hotspur Way to work on his rehabilitation.
The player can be seen in the gym, with a crutch supporting him as he operates a machine as part of a leg exercise.

Spurs Web Opinion
It may be a long time until we see him back on the pitch, but it’s just great to see Bentancur on his feet and in the Tottenham training kit.
We have sorely missed his influence in the middle of the park, and I really hope he can eventually get back to the kind of form he was in before the injury.
