Rodrigo Bentancur has taken to Instagram to share an update on his return to fitness with the Tottenham faithful.
Unfortunately, Bentancur ruptured a cruciate ligament back in February (Standard) and recent reports have suggested a return may not be on the cards until November (Athletic).
This means the midfielder would miss the start of the 2023/24 season and would be fighting to get back to match sharpness towards Christmas.
However, it appears the former Juventus man has already started some light ball work in the gym at Hotspur Way, as he posted a video of himself doing keepy-uppies this week.
It’s small progress but Spurs fans will be reassured to see their star midfielder on the mend.

Spurs Web Opinion:
I fully believe that we would at least be knocking on the door of a top-four finish had Bentancur not picked up that injury. Who knows where we would be. Conte may have even lasted a bit longer in charge.
