Despite some concerns over his fitness, Heung-min Son should be available for selection when Ange Postecoglou picks his squad for the game against Luton Town on Saturday.
Tottenham Hotspur have a great chance of extending their unbeaten run against Premier League new boys Luton at the weekend, and will climb to the top of the table if they can clinch three points at Kenilworth Road in the lunchtime kick-off.
Ange Postecoglou has seen his Spurs side remain unbeaten in the first seven games of the campaign, with five wins and a draw putting the Lilywhites second in the league.
Dramatic, last-gap wins over Liverpool and Sheffield United recently have been great for the neutrals, but Spurs fans will be hoping for an easier ride against Luton this weekend.
If the North London club are to get a win, they will be hoping key players like James Maddison and their captain, Heung-min Son, can be fully fit for the game.
Son should be fit for the Luton game
The pair have struggled with injuries of late, but there is good news regarding the latter coming from a report in The Athletic.
Spurs have been following a strict plan to maintain Son’s fitness levels, which is why the South Korean was substituted halfway through the second half in the Liverpool game.
That plan is working, it seems, as Postecoglou is now expected to have Son available for selection from the start against Luton on Saturday. The same goes for Maddison, too.
Spurs Web Opinion
We should not take this Luton game lightly. Everyone will expect us to win, but I’m sure Postecoglou will not let the players rest on their laurels and get complacent. We will need Sonny and Maddison at the top of their game to get this one over the line.
