Tottenham Hotspur have gone over 16 months without signing a single new player, so will surely dip into the transfer market this summer.

I believe it is now or never in terms of investment in this Spurs side, as they appear to be on the cusp of achieving great things.

Here are my four dream signings for the summer of 2019:

Tanguy Ndombele –

My first choice by far. If Spurs could only sign one player this window, I would want it to be this guy. He is fast, strong, can drive with the ball, pick a pass, defend, and even score the odd goal. The perfect Mousa Dembele replacement, with even more about him in the final third. I think he could be the driving force that Spurs are missing in the midfield.

James Maddison –

If Eriksen leaves this transfer window, Spurs will need a ready-made replacement. Who better than a 22-year-old Englishman with Premier League and International experience? Maddison scored seven, including three free-kicks, in his debut season for Leicester. He also set up seven more and created more chances than any other Prem player (100). Spurs should move heaven and earth to get him.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka –

Spurs simply must improve their defence. Alderweireld and Vertonghen are one of the best pairings in world football, and Danny Rose is a class act on the left, so that just leaves right-back. Liverpool have improved no end with the introduction of Alexander-Arnold from the academy, and Spurs should also be investing in youth in the form of Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The Palace youngster already looks like a great player, and will surely only improve.

Ryan Sessegnon –

Now in the Championship and with just one year left on his contract, Sessegnon will surely come cheap this summer. Ryan isn’t a player for the starting XI, but a great investment for the squad and for the future.
