Tottenham Hotspur failed to make a single signing this season, becoming the first ever Premier League side to achieve such a strange record.
However, back in the summer, the Lilywhites were linked with a move for then-Norwich midfield man James Maddison.
In the end, Maddison signed for Leicester City for a fee of £22.5m, and has gone on to have an outstanding first season in the top flight.
It is safe to say that the young man’s stocks have risen in the past six months, and any big side who wanted to sign him would now have to pay far over that original price tag.
Tottenham are now again being linked with a move for the Leicester man, as they look to strengthen their attacking midfield options.
Maddison would make a great addition for Spurs, as they don’t have plentiful back up to the likes of Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen.
Claude Puel has described the rumours surrounding his players and other clubs as a good thing (Leicester Live): “I have a good feeling about this speculation. It is a good feeling to have this feedback from different teams. It works in our interest and we are raising the profile of our club.
“A lot of players in our squad develop a lot of interest in our clubs and this is a good feeling for me.
“If we were playing poorly and didn’t have the opportunity to develop our young players other teams would not be interested in our players.
“Some different teams can have an interest in them. It is good feeling for our work and for the players who give their best on the pitch and make progress. They have made progress.
