If Harry Kane does leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer, Ben Jacobs thinks the club should make Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic his replacement.
The talk surrounding Kane‘s future is getting louder and louder as the summer progresses.
Now into the final year of his current contract, it has been suggested that now is the time for the 29-year-old to leave Tottenham in search of silverware.
Bayern Munich have been stepping up their pursuit of the England captain this week, and had an initial offer of £60m plus add-ons rejected (Sky Sports).
The German giants are expected to continue chasing Kane, with Fabrizio Romano claiming the player himself is open to the move.
If the Bundesliga side can manage to prise Kane away from North London, Spurs will be hard-pressed to find a suitable replacement.
Dusan Vlahovic could be Kane’s successor at Spurs
One man who could do the job, according to Ben Jacobs, is Dusan Vlahovic.
The Serbian striker has previously been linked with Tottenham Hotspur and was even recommended by Fabio Paratici upon his arrival at the club in 2021 (Telegraph).
Spurs opted against that move and Vlahovic eventually joined Juventus, but he could still find his way to North London.
Jacobs told Tottenham Fan Chris Cowlin’s YouTube channel: “If Kane is going to be pushing for a move then Tottenham need to pivot and the budget becomes redundant because if you are getting £80-100 million for Kane then your budget is going to be some of that to replace Kane.
“I would keep an eye on Dusan Vlahovic, even though Chelsea and Manchester United are more linked.
“And I would also keep a very close eye on Jonathan David, who is available in the market as well.”
Spurs Web Opinion
I liked Vlahovic before he joined Juventus and I think he could be a great option to replace Kane.
He has similarities in the way he plays the game; his intelligence, strength, and goalscoring ability.
There is no real way to properly replace a player like Kane but Vlahovic would be a good fit.
