Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has confirmed that he has now parted ways with super agent, Pini Zahavi, who has represented the midfielder over the last few years.
Hojbejrg was heavily linked with a move to Atletico Madrid all summer, with some reports even indicating back in July that Tottenham expected the sale to go through (Daily Mail).
However, in the end, the Dane stayed put at Tottenham, with several sources claiming on transfer deadline day that the La Liga side’s offer was not enough to convince the Lilywhites to cash in on the player (Fabrizio Romano).
The 28-year-old told Bold two weeks ago that he had an honest conversation with Ange Postecoglou about his role and insisted that he is ready to give his all whenever opportunities come his way this season.
Although Hojbjerg has not started a Premier League game so far this season, he has come on as a substitute in four of the five matches.
Spurs’ Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is changing agents
The former Southampton man has now confirmed that he is no longer represented by Zahavi but he refused to shed too much light on why.
Hojbjerg told Ekstra Bladet (as relayed by Sport Witness): “I can confirm that the agreement has expired for both parties and that we are on good terms.
“But my focus is on the daily work effort, so it doesn’t matter to me and therefore I don’t want to go into this matter further.”
Spurs Web Opinion
I have no doubt that Hojbjerg would push for a move in January as he would want to play regular football. So, Spurs will likely have to enter the market for a replacement and I expect the club to test the waters for Conor Gallagher again.
