TuttoMercatoWeb have claimed that Tottenham are now locked in a three-way battle for Juventus left-back Andrea Cambiaso.

Cambiaso, who came through Genoa’s youth set-up, was snapped up by Juventus last summer, with the Old Lady loaning him out to Bologna for the 2022-23 season.

The 23-year-old was one of the mainstays in the Bologna backline last season and his performances are alleged to have caught Tottenham’s eye.

Earlier this month, we relayed a report from  Sky Sport Italia (13/07/23 – via Mondo Napoli), which claimed that Spurs had enquired about the availability of the 23-year-old.

The publication asserted that Juventus are expected to demand €25m (£21.4m) for the versatile defender.

Spurs now face increased competition for Cambiaso

According to TMW’s latest update, Tottenham are now set to battle Nottingham Forest and AC Milan for Cambiaso, with all three clubs alleged to have expressed an interest in the youngster.

The report adds that as things stand, the Bianconeri are not planning to cash in on the full-back but it is explained that the situation could change later in the transfer window.

Spurs Web Opinion

Despite the injury to Ryan Sessgonon and Sergio Reguilon being likely to depart, I do not think Spurs would enter the market for a left-back this summer.

I expect Destiny Udogie to compete with Ben Davies for the inverted left-back role.
