According to Corriere della Sera (as relayed by GIFN), Franck Kessie prefers to join Tottenham this summer over Juventus.

Multiple publications over recent days have reported on Spurs‘ interest in Kessie, with Mundo Deportivo even claiming a couple of days ago that the Lilywhites had ‘burst into the bidding’ for the midfielder amidst Barcelona’s negotiations with Juventus.

It was subsequently suggested by Fabrizio Romano that Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli had also entered the race for the 26-year-old’s signature.

Kessie prefers Spurs move over Juventus

If Corriere della Sera’s latest update is to be believed, Kessie would rather play his football at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium than the Allianz Stadium next season.

The publication explains that Massimiliano Allegri is keen to add the Ivorian to his squad but the Old Lady have ‘toned down’ their interest in the player over recent days after finding out that he is not particularly keen on the move.

The report adds that Kessie is yet to make a final decision on his future but it is thought that he would even prefer a switch to Saudi Arabia over joining Juve.

Spurs Web Opinion

Perhaps Kessie’s unwillingness to join Juve has to do with the player and his entourage not being happy with the salary offered by the Serie A giants.

While Tottenham might be able to match the fee or the wages that Al-Ahli can offer the Ivorian, they would be hoping that the midfielder is still hungry to prove himself at the highest level.
