Tottenham Hotspur have now officially confirmed that Dane Scarlett has completed a season-long loan move to Ipswich Town.
Scarlett spent last season on loan at Portsmouth and even though he did have a bright start to his spell at Fratton Park, things did not go entirely according to plan for him or for Pompey, who stumbled to a disappointing eighth-place finish in League One.

It emerged on Wednesday that the Tottenham academy graduate was expected to head to the Championship this season, with The Athletic reporting that the teenager had signed a one-year contract extension at Spurs before agreeing to move to Portmond Road Stadium on loan.
Tottenham have now officially confirmed that the 19-year-old will be heading to the East Anglian club, who currently sit in sixth place in the Championship table, having accumulated nine points from their first four matches of the season.
Ipswich won promotion from League One last season and are managed by Kieran McKenna, who previously worked at Tottenham as the head coach of the Under-18s.

Reacting to the loan move, McKenna said (Ipswich Official): “Dane is a very exciting young forward who the staff and I have known about for a long time.
“He is an explosive finisher with both feet and someone who has good movement in the final third. He is also someone who works very well for the team out of possession.
“Dane is ready for his second loan spell having gained a year’s worth of experience with Portsmouth last season, and we feel that puts him in a good position to step up to this level and be an important member of the squad. We’re excited to have him here.”
Dane Scarlett himself added: “I’m really excited to get started here.
“I found out I was officially moving yesterday but the move has been in the works for a few weeks.
“I remember playing against Ipswich last season and it was a good game. I liked the way the team played so I’m really looking forward to being part of that.”

This is a very good move for Scarlett as he will be playing for a coach who knows well of his qualities. Ipswich also play front-foot, high-pressing, possession-based football, which would suit the Tottenham man quite well.
