Tottenham Hotspur board their flight to Australia on Friday to begin their pre-season tour and could be without Djed Spence and Troy Parrott due to injury issues, according to Football.London
Ange Postecoglou will welcome back his senior internationals to Hotspur Way today ahead of the flight to Perth ahead of their first match of the summer when they face Premier League rivals West Ham United at Optus Stadium on July 18.
The Australian revealed in his press conference on Monday that Fraser Forster and Rodrigo Bentnacur will not be part of the tour due to their injuries while he added that a couple of other players are ‘touch and go’.
Tottenham also confirmed last night that Ryan Sessegnon will miss pre-season after the defender sustained a hamstring injury during training and has had to undergo an operation in a bid to permanently fix his recurring muscular problem.
Troy Parrott and Djed Spence could miss Spurs’ pre-season tour due to injury
Meanwhile, The Telegraph claimed yesterday that Hugo Lloris might also stay behind in London as the goalkeeper looks set to seal an exit from the North London club.
This claim has also been seconded by Gold, who has now named the Tottenham captain as one of the players who could remain back at Hotspur Way.
The journalist added that Parrott and Spence are currently recovering from their respective knee and groin injuries, with both youngsters said to be facing a race to be fit to play a part in Tottenham’s pre-season matches.

It would be a shame if Parrott and Spence are not involved since both players would have been keen on making a good first impression on Postecoglou.
Even if they are not 100 per cent fit, I would hope that they fly with the squad in the hope that they can recover in time for the latter part of the tour and be part of the building of a new team spirit under the 57-year-old.
