Football Insider have claimed that clubs from the Eredivisie, Bundesliga and La Liga are showing interest in signing Troy Parrott on loan this summer.
Parrott has played in League One and the Championship over the last couple of years, having had mixed success during his spells at Millwall, MK Dons, Preston and Ipswich.
Football Insider claim that the striker, who has made four senior appearances for Tottenham, is now ready for the ‘next step’ in his career.
Spurs are thought to be willing to send Parrott out on loan, having secured Alejo Veliz from Rosario Central this summer.
Troy Parrott is proving popular across Europe
The report states that several foreign clubs have shown interest in the Republic of Ireland international, including two Dutch clubs, one German side and one Spanish side.
It is alleged that these foreign clubs are battling it out to win the race for the 21-year-old’s signature before the transfer window closes on September 2.
Spurs Web Opinion
Given Parrott’s technical quality, I have a feeling that he would fare even better in the Dutch or Spanish top flight than he has in the EFL.
Tottenham should ensure that they loan the striker out to a club where he is guaranteed regular game time as the last thing the 21-year-old needs is to warm the bench for a season.
