Football.London have revealed that the Spurs coaching staff might work with just four first-team stars when they return to Hotspur Way this week, with the others either on international duty or out injured.
Following Conte’s now infamous rant on Saturday in which he accused every single one of his players of being selfish and not playing for the team, it has unsurprisingly emerged that the Italian has lost a significant portion of the dressing room.
Both The Guardian and The Sun have reported over the last 48 hours that some Tottenham players would be happy to see the 53-year-old relieved of his duties immediately.
Many will be able to avoid an awkward meeting with their head coach over the coming days as the bulk of the squad is now away on international duty.
Football.London report that only Arnuat Danjuma, Lucas Moura, Clement Lenglet and Japhet Tanganga will be at Hotspur Way this week among the first-team squad.
While Ben Davies and Richarlison have withdrawn from the Wales and Brazil squads respectively due to injury, it is explained that they might not be fit to rejoin training until the days preceding the clash against Everton.
It has also emerged that Hugo Lloris has returned for rehabilitation work.
Spurs Web Opinion
Most Tottenham players will be hoping that Conte would have been asked to pack his bags by the time they return to Hotspur Way from international duty.
One cannot really blame them following the Italian’s outburst on Saturday as the players will look at it as an attempt by the 53-year-old to absolve himself of any blame and put the entirety of it on the squad.
