Fabrizio Romano has revealed Tottenham Hotspur are hopeful that qualifying for the Champions League will help secure the futures of both Antonio Conte and Harry Kane.
There have been plenty of reports over recent weeks suggesting that Conte might not be at Spurs next season (Telegraph).
There also continues to be a question mark over Kane’s future, with Manchester City being backed to reignite their interest in the England captain in the summer (The Sun).
Conte admitted after Tottenham’s 5-0 win over Everton on Monday that the Lilywhites are ready to give their all in the 12 remaining games of the season in order to finish in the top four (Football.London).
This sentiment has also been echoed by Kane this week, with the striker admitting he and his teammates are desperate to be back in the Champions League after missing out in the last two seasons (Mirror).
Romano has now revealed on the latest episode of the Here We Go podcast (starting at 16:34) that Kane’s future at Spurs is linked to that of Conte.
The journalist added that the Tottenham hierarchy are hopeful the club will be able to secure a top-four finish and then plan on offering Kane a new deal in the summer.

It sounds like both Conte’s and Kane’s future at Tottenham might depend on whether or not we manage to qualify for the Champions League.
Even if we finish fourth, I am not sure that Kane will be tempted to sign a new contract after the events of last summer.
So, Paratici and Levy might have no choice but to let the striker leave on a cut-price deal in the summer of 2023.
