Aksam claim Tottenham Hotspur are hopeful that a deal for Galatasaray winger Kerem Akturkoglu will prove straightforward to complete in January.
Akturkoglu has been one of the most exciting attacking players on show in the Turkish top flight over the last couple of years and the 25-year-old has seemingly taken his game to a new level this season.
The attacker has scored five goals and provided seven assists in 16 matches across all competitions so far (Transfermarkt).
It was reported by Fotomac at the start of the month that the pace wide-man’s displays had caught the attention of Tottenham, who were said to be keeping a close eye on him ahead of the January window.
A couple of days ago, Fotospor also credited both Spurs and West Ham with an interest in Akturkoglu and suggested that the player has no intention of signing a new contract at Galatasaray.
The report explained that the two London clubs would be able to offer the Turkish international more than double the salary of what the Istanbul club are preparing to offer.
Spurs hoping for smooth deal with Galatasaray
Aksam have now stated that Tottenham ‘want to add’ Akturkoglu to their squad and are hopeful that they can complete the operation ‘without difficulty.
It is explained that the North London club have a good relationship with Galatasaray after agreeing on the Davinson Sanchez and Tanguy Ndombele deals in the summer.
The report adds that the Lilywhites want to use that to their favour by getting a deal for Akturkoglu over the line without any hiccups.
Spurs Web Opinion
The injuries to Ivan Perisic and Manor Solomon mean that Postecoglou would likely want to add a winger to the squad in January.
However, it is anybody’s guess at this point who would be at the top of Tottenham’s wishlist and things could change in the little over two months left until the window reopens.
