Dejan Kulusevski turned in a performance of the highest order for Sweden this weekend, bagging a goal and providing an assist in a 5-0 win over Estonia.
It seems Dejan Kulusevski is back to his best after a difficult campaign last year. The winger struggled with injuries in the 2022/23 campaign and only managed two goals and eight assists all season (Transfermarkt).
That was in stark contrast to the impact Kulusevski made when he first arrived at Tottenham in January 2022. The Swede contributed five goals and eight assists to help propel Spurs to the top four (Transfermarkt).
It has been a positive start to the new season for Kulusevski and his Tottenham teammates. The attacker is one of many players who appears to be revitalised under new manager, Ange Postecoglou.
The 23-year-old has already opened his account for the season (Transfermarkt) as the Lilywhites have made an unbeaten start to the new Premier League campaign.
Dejan Kulusevski is on fire for Sweden
Now, it seems Kulusevski is carrying that form into the international break, as he scored a fine goal for Sweden and added an assist to a 5-0 victory over Estonia in a Euro 2024 qualifier game.
Kulusevski had a hand in the first goal for Sweden, before grabbing one of his own to make it 2-0. The tricky winger started the move out on the right, before popping up in the box to apply a cool finish.
Then, with 15 minutes to go, Kulusevski laid on a perfect opportunity for his teammate, Robin Quaison. It was a typical piece of play from the Swede, as he danced around the Estonia defenders on the right-hand side, before lofting a precise cross to the back post.

We appear to finally have the Kulusevski back that we all fell in love with when he first arrived at the club, and this kind of performance tonight must have done his confidence the world of good. He can be such a dangerous player, and hopefully, he can bring this form back to Spurs after the break.
