Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon has responded to the reported interest from Tottenham during this summer transfer window.
The 18-year-old has enjoyed a break through couple of years with the cottagers, putting him firmly on the radar on some of England’s big hitters.
Sessegnon scored seven goals in 30 games during the 2016/17 season, which was enough to get people talking. The left-winger then eclipsed this tally last campaign, scoring an amazing 16 goals in 52 appearances.
There were heavy rumours of an incoming bid from Tottenham during the summer, including a swap deal involving Danny Rose, however no agreement was reached.
The teenage star reflected on summer interest in an interview with Sky Sports.
He said: “You always see little bits and bobs when teams are linked with you, but I was always staying focused on playing for Fulham. That’s my main focus – just getting my head down and playing for Fulham.
“Of course, as a young player, when you get linked to these clubs playing Champions League football, it’s always flattering. I’m not aware of [a new contract] right now. I’m just playing and seeing how it goes.”
Should Tottenham go in for the Fulham star again in January?
