If reports over the last few days are to believed, it looks like Tottenham have all but sealed a move for Wigan midfielder Alfie Devine.
The Athletic’s David Ornstein has claimed that the youngster has already completed a medical with Spurs, and an announcement is now inevitable.
Signing Devine could turn out to be a major coup for Tottenham, with the 15-year-old thought of as one of the most promising midfield talents in his age group.
He has already represented Wigan at both Under-18 and Under-23 level and has also impressed for England at Under-16 age grade.
Devine’s performances in the FA Youth Cup this campaign shot the teenager to prominence with the youngster impressing after coming on from the bench in Wigan’s 2-0 over Spurs.
The Sun’s Alan Nixon has now revealed how much Tottenham will pay for the teenager’s signature.
Contrary to the slightly higher figure reported previously, he claims that Spurs will only pay a fee of around £300,000 upfront for the talented youngster.

Going by how highly Devine is rated, £300,000 does sound like a steal for us. It looks like Daniel Levy might have taken advantage of Wigan’s precarious financial situation to potentially get us a gem. However, only time will tell how the youngster will develop as the next few years are arguably the most important in shaping him as a footballer.
