Journalist Paul Brown says Tottenham Hotspur do not have any plans to offload Richarlison in January and the club would have to receive a ‘very interesting offer’ for them to contemplate doing so.
Richarlison silenced his critics with his brilliant cameo off the bench against Sheffield United on Sunday.
The Brazilian freed himself from his marker to meet Ivan Perisic’s corner kick with a perfectly directed header in the 98th minute before keeping his composure by finding Dejan Kulusevski in the box with a well-weighted pass for the Swede to take a touch and rifle home the winner.
That performance will certainly go a long way towards restoring the 26-year-old’s confidence ahead of some crucial games that are now coming up.
Richarlison is set to stay at Spurs for the time being
Son Heung-min admitted after the win that no one at Spurs doubts Richarlison’s qualities and insisted that Tottenham need the Brazilian to be at his best (Yahoo Sport).
Brown has now said that based on the noises coming out of the North London club, there is no indication that they are looking to move on the former Everton star.
The journalist told GiveMeSport about Richarlison: “I don’t really see him leaving Tottenham anytime soon. I think it would have to be a really interesting offer for him to a club that he really wants to play for and where he knows he’s going to be number one.
“That’s obviously not going to happen until January at the earliest now. I do think personally he wants to make a success of it at Spurs and I don’t really hear any particular criticism of him from the manager there. The manager seems pretty okay with him.
“He knows that strikers need goals and it’s clear that Richarlison had been struggling for confidence a little bit in front of goal but I don’t think it’s a huge problem.
“I think it’s a situation that can rectify itself with patience. And if Richarlison stays determined, I think he’ll be okay there. I don’t see him leaving Spurs or them trying to get rid of him anytime soon.”

Right from the start, Postecoglou has maintained that he sees Richarlison as an important part of the squad and that the Brazilian contributes to the side even when he is not scoring.
Most of the pressure on the forward has come from the outside rather than internally. Hopefully, his performance against the Blades would restore the 26-year-old’s confidence as there is no doubt that he can be a handful when he is at his best.
