Alasdair Gold has revealed that Richarlison is very much loved in the Tottenham dressing room as evidenced by the way his teammates reacted after the full-time whistle against Sheffield United.
Richarlison was struggling in front of goal for both club and country leading up to the game on Saturday and the forward also admitted during the international break that he was dealing with some challenges in his personal life, for which he plans to seek ‘psychological help’ (Globo Esporte).
The 26-year-old certainly had a lot to smile about on Saturday as he came off the bench to score an equaliser and set up a late match-winner as Spurs produced a memorable comeback against the Blades.
According to reports, many of the Tottenham players ran straight to Richarlison and mobbed him after the final whistle, with captain Son Heung-min seen pushing the former Everton man to the front during the celebrations so that he could soak in the appreciation of the supporters (Football.London).
Richarlison is a popular member of the Spurs squad
Gold has now said on his YouTube video: “They were ecstatic for him [Richarlison]. Every player was trying to push him towards the front [of the celebrations] and making a real deal. He’s very popular. Like I said, he’s a guy that wears his heart on his sleeve and they love him.”

I love the way that the players have all completely got around Richarlison. It is brilliant to see the team spirit and the camaraderie that exists in the current Spurs set-up.
