The Daily Express have claimed that Fabio Paratici wants to sign four more players this summer after Tottenham look to complete deals for Atalanta duo Pierluigi Gollini and Cristian Romero.

It was reported on Monday that Spurs were close to reaching an agreement with Atalanta for the pair and reports have since confirmed that Gollini is set to join the North Londoners on an initial loan deal with an option to buy.

Some sources have indicated that Tottenham’s attempt to seal Romero is not proving straightforward and so it remains to be seen whether the central defender will join the goalkeeper in N17 next season.

However, Fabrizio Romano tweeted this evening that Spurs had come to an agreement with Romero himself over personal terms.

The Express have now claimed that Spurs may also try to sign a right-back, an attacking midfielder and a striker after completing deals for Romero and Gollini.

Marcel Sabitzer and Houssem Aouar are named in the report as two attacking midfield options the Lilywhites are looking at.

It is also explained that holding on to Harry Kane is a priority for Tottenham, with the club wishing to bring in another centre-forward to serve as the England captain’s backup.

If this report is right with respect to the positions Paratici wants to strengthen, then I do wonder where the Bryan Gil deal would fit into the picture.

It remains to be seen whether the Spaniard is viewed by Paratici as the attacking midfield option he allegedly wanted or if the club plan on using the 20-year-old out wide, a position he thrived in at Elche last season.
