Football London journalist, Alasdair Gold has reported that Tottenham are now in advanced talks two sign two players from the same club this summer.

Gold claims that Spurs’ new managing director of football, Fabio Paratici, is in advanced talks with Atalanta to sign both Pierluigi Gollini and Cristian Romero.

The duo have been a huge part of the recent success that Atalanta have enjoyed both in Serie A and in the Champions League.

The report claims that Paratici has a very keen interest in Romero, who he signed for Juventus from Genoa back in 2019. However, last summer, the centre-back signed a two-year loan deal with Atalanta, including an option to buy for £13.8m.

Gold reports that the Serie A club are expected to trigger that clause and then potentially sell the player on for a profit to Tottenham and Paratici.

Meanwhile, Spurs are also in talks with the same club to sign goalkeeper Gollini, who spent time at Man United and Aston Villa in his younger days.

Spurs Web Opinion:

These would be two huge deals for Tottenham to pull off this summer. They may not be big names, but they are bargains and would definitely strengthen the current squad in North London.
