The Daily Record have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are now ‘preparing an offer to tempt’ Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou.
Since it become clear on Thursday that Arne Slot would be staying put at Feyenoord, multiple outlets have suggested that Postecoglou could now emerge as a target for Spurs.
Football Insider explained on Friday that the Celtic boss had always been on Spurs’ radar but the reason he was overlooked in favour of Slot was due to concerns about his age.
The report claimed that the 57-year-old is ‘now back in contention’ and the fact that he has a relatively low release clause makes him an attractive option for the North London club.
If The Daily Record’s latest update is to be believed, Tottenham are now ‘set to swoop’ for the Postecoglou, with the Lilywhites said to be ‘preparing an offer’ for the Australian.
The report adds that a move for the Hoops gaffer has received backing from ‘influential heavy-hitters in London’, such as former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp, which is why the Premier League side are now ready to step up their pursuit.

If Tottenham have settled on Postecoglou as their top target following Arne Slot’s snub, then one can expect the move to accelerate following Celtic’s Scottish Cup final against Inverness on June 3.
However, Spurs could well reach out to the Australian’s camp over the coming days to understand if he is keen on the role.
