Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas has revealed that Manor Solomon is devastated by the news that he is going to be out of action for three months after sustaining an injury.

Although Solomon has not succeeded in nailing down a place in Tottenham’s starting eleven every week, he has shown some promise when opportunities have come his way, having registered two assists so far.

On Wednesday, it emerged that the 24-year-old had picked up an injury in training and was potentially facing two to three months on the sidelines (Raz Amir).

The news came as a bitter blow to Ange Postecoglou, who is already without the likes of Ryan Sessegnon, Rodrigo Bentancur, Giovani Lo Celso and Ivan Perisic, while Brennan Jonson is also not expected to feature against Luton Town (The Athletic).

Disappointed Solomon likely out until 2024

Thomas has now confirmed that Solomon will not be back in action before the turn of the year.

The journalist explained that the Israeli international was loving life at Spurs under Postecoglou and is ‘hugely disappointed’ with the outcome, but he is determined to come back ‘stronger than ever’.

With Perisic, Johnson and Solomon not available, Postecoglou is suddenly struggling for options in the wide areas. The one silver lining about the situation is that it gives Bryan Gil a lifeline and the Spaniard is certainly capable of making an impact if he gets opportunities.
