The Times have claimed that Bryan Gil could be on his way out of Tottenham Hotspur in January.
Gil has not kicked a ball for Tottenham for nine months, having spent the second half of last season on loan at Sevilla. The winger picked up a groin injury at the start of pre-season, which meant that Ange Postecoglou could not get a closer look at him.
However, the Spaniard has now recovered from the problem and he took his place on the bench in Tottenham’s 1-0 win over Luton Town on Saturday.
The injuries to Manor Solomon, Ivan Perisic, and Brennan Johnson mean that Postecoglou is short of options in the attacking areas, and Gil could thus have a prominent role to play over the coming weeks.
Bryan Gil could depart Spurs in January
However, The Times have claimed that the winger could be one of several players who could depart N17 in January.
The report states that the North London club will focus on shifting fringe players when the transfer window reopens, with Gil potentially set to follow the likes of Eric Dier, Hugo Lloris, and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg out of the door.

Gil’s future will likely depend on how well he does when opportunities come his way over the next couple of months. If he does well, I would not put it past him to establish himself as a fixture in Postecoglou’s starting eleven.
However, if he is to struggle, I can see Spurs potentially offloading him permanently in January rather than sending him out on loan again.
