Son Heung-min has said that Richarlison shows in every single training session just how good he is and admitted that he and his teammates were over the moon for the Brazilian when he found the back of the net against Sheffield United.
One could see from Richarlison’s body language this season that he was struggling for confidence, with the pressure of having to fill Harry Kane’s shoes perhaps starting to tell on the forward.
The 26-year-old was coming under a lot of criticism for failing to find the back of the net (talkSPORT) and he also admitted during the international break that he was dealing with some personal problems for which he plans to seek psychological help ( Globo Esporte).
Richarlison demonstrated against the Blades just why the Lilywhites paid £60m to sign him from Everton last summer, with the forward coming off the bench to get a goal and an assist to help the home side complete a dramatic turnaround.
In the post-match celebration, Son was seen pushing the former Toffees star to the front so that he could take in the praise from the south stand (Football.London).
Heung-min Son says Richarlison is great in training
When asked if that is something he had planned to do beforehand, the Spurs captain said at the Fan Forum a couple of days ago: “No. I didn’t prepare anything. We obviously heard about Richy’s interviews and it’s really sad about him.
“I want to help him and he saved us in the big moment, and he showed his quality that he shows in every training session which is normal and I just felt that he deserved credit.
“We’re glad we have him and are so happy that he scored for us in a big game and it shows his character. He’s strong enough to move forwards and move another big step.
“That day was Richy’s special day for saving us. He totally deserved it for me, but I didn’t prepare anything, after that game he deserved the credit and the love from the fans.”

Despite Richarlison’s excellent cameo and Son’s ineffectiveness against Sheffield United, I expect the South Korean to start as the number nine in the NLD. Arsenal will play a high line, which is why the 30-year-old’s ability to make runs in behind will be crucial in hurting them.
