Tottenham Hotspur captain Heung-min Son has been named in the EA Sports Ultimate Team team of the week for his exploits in the North London derby. And there’s another familiar face alongside him, too.
Heung-min Son put in an incredible performance in the 2-2 draw against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon. The Spurs skipper applied two fine finishes in either half to bring his side level and take a point away from the Emirates Stadium.
The South Korean star was assisted by his new partner in crime, James Maddison, on both occasions. The pair are forming a formidable connection and will likely be very valuable to Ange Postecoglou‘s side this year.
We are certainly seeing Son back to his best, after suffering a dip in form last season. He is now already halfway towards matching his tally of ten goals from the 2022/23 campaign (Transfermarkt).

Son makes it into the EA team of the week
Since being named as captain of the club, Son has flourished, and now he has the honour of being named in the team of the week by EA Sports as part of their Ultimate Team mode.
Son’s 88-rated card boasts stats like shooting of 90, pace at 88, and dribbling at 85. Clearly, EA were impressed with what they saw from the 31-year-old.
Funnily enough, the only player who surpasses Son’s card this week, is none other than Harry Kane. The former Spurs man scored a hat-trick for Bayern Munich at the weekend, and is rewarded with a 91-rated card.

I don’t know much about Ultimate Team cards but I do know that Sonny was outstanding at the weekend and deserves his place in any team of the week. It’s ironic however, that once again, he is outdone by Harry Kane, but you can’t win them all.
