Viola News have claimed that Tottenham are battling two other Premier League sides for Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.
With Amrabat having just one year left on his contract at the Artemio Franchi Stadium (Trasfermarkt), it is said that his future at the club is in doubt, but there is not yet any clarity on where the player will end up this summer.
This is because, the ‘track’ that leads to Atletico Madrid has now allegedly ‘cooled down’, with the contacts between parties said to have frozen.
With the midfielder’s move to the La Liga club at a standstill for the last week, it is explained that Premier League clubs have now tested the waters over a deal for the player.
Spurs, Villa and Man Utd are keen on Amrabat
The publication states that Tottenham, Aston Villa, and Manchester United have all enquired about Amrabat’s availability but none of them have ‘sunk the blow’ as of yet.
Viola News add that Fiorentina have remained firm in their stance that it would take an offer of €30m (£25.7m) to lure away the Morocco international.
Spurs Web Opinion
While Amarabat was a good fit for Conte’s system, I am not convinced he would be as effective in a Postecoglou side.
Having said that Spurs might need to enter the market for another number six if Hojbjerg leaves, particularly if Ange is planning to use Skipp as an eight.
