Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma has cause for concern after the midfielder went down to receive treatment to his foot moments after the half time whistle against Lion City Sailors.

Bissouma had another bright forty-five minutes to build on his display against West Ham United last week and his link up play with James Maddison being a particular highlight of a frustrating outing for Ange Postecoglou’s side.

After the half time whistle, the Tottenham players who started the fixture at the Singapore National Stadium were put through their paces even further with a series of long runs, which saw Bissouma go to the ground and point to his foot.

The 26-year-old received treatment from the Tottenham medical staff on the field of play and looked in some discomfort as he hobbled off

Bissouma underwent ankle surgery back in February to repair a stress fracture to his left ankle and while the extent of any injury is yet to be confirmed, it is the very same foot which he is experiencing issues with.

The former Brighton player has looked like a rejuvenated man since Ange Postecoglou took charge last month and fans will certainly be hoping his problem is not serious, with Rodrigo Bentancur still on his way back from knee surgery.
