With Christian Eriksen’s future at Tottenham looking highly uncertain, the club are said to be looking for replacements for the Dane in the summer.

Among the players to be linked with Tottenham is Leicester City midfielder, James Maddison.

Maddison has impressed in his first season of Premier League football after moving to the Foxes from Norwich last season. His performances have caught the eyes of several of the league’s big hitters.

The midfielder has scored seven goals and registered six assists so far this campaign, and has become one of the most important players in Brendan Rodger’s side.

Ahead of Leicester’s game against Newcastle last Friday at the King Power Stadium (which the hosts lost 1-0), former Manchester United defender Gary Neville singed out Maddison for praise.

He said the 22-year-old had adapted well to life in the Premier League and that just like Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard, he really enjoys his football.

According to HITC, the pundit told Sky Sports, “I mentioned Eden Hazard the other night. They play football like it should be played as a kid where it’s just really enjoyable. He is having an amazing first season.”
