PSG right-back Serge Aurier has reportedly agreed personal terms with Tottenham Hotspur ahead of a potential transfer this Summer, according to a report from French outlet L’Equipe.

Earlier in the transfer window, Tottenham raked in a remarkable £50+ million for 27 year old full-back Kyle Walker who reportedly more than doubled his earnings when joining Premier League rivals Manchester City.

However, despite the departure of Walker and potential spending power, Spurs are yet to re-invest any money in the first-team having not made a single signing all Summer.

According to L’Equipe, Tottenham may be about to finally land a replacement for the English defender in the shape of out-of-favour PSG full-back Serge Aurier.

Aurier has been angling for a move away from PSG all Summer and last month many English papers were reporting that Manchester United had all but signed the defender, yet no deal ever came to fruition.

Now, the article from L’Equipe is suggesting that the Ivorian international has agreed personal terms with Spurs after having slipped low down in the pecking order at the Parc De Princes due to a number of controversial off-field incidents.

However, it has also been implied that competition for the 24 year old’s signature is high, with personal terms also agreed with not just Tottenham, but Juventus and Inter Milan too.

Tottenham’s task has not been made any easier by the presence of the Italian giants, however Spurs are somewhat able to bide their time, given the emergence of Kyle Walker-Peters following his impressive debut against Newcastle United on Sunday.

Do you think Spurs should splash out on a new right-back, or do you think we should place our faith in Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker-Peters?
