JERMAIN DEFOE is already looking ahead to Tottenham’s pre-season fixtures.
The striker will face two of his former clubs, firstly he will return to AFC Bournemouth on July 17, where he scored 18 goals in 32 appearances while on loan from West Ham in 2000/01.
“Bournemouth will be special for me,” he told the official Spurs site. “I scored lots of goals there and it was a fantastic experience for me at that age.”
“I loved my time there and it will be great to go back,” he added.
On July 29th, Spurs play their first match of the Barclays Asia Trophy, which happens to be against West Ham – another former club.
“China will be a good trip, playing West Ham and perhaps Hull as well,” he commented. “It gets you prepared for the season and we want to get a winning mentality, including friendlies. I’ve always felt better when I’ve had a good pre-season.”
