It must be Sunday as Tottenham Hotspur are once again being linked with a move for David Beckham.
The England international has only just returned to action at LA Galaxy, but has been told by Fabio Capello has told Beckham to return to Europe before next summer’s World Cup in South Africa.
Beckham enjoyed a successful loan stint at AC Milan towards the end of last season and the Italian giants are keen on bringing him back for another spell. Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti, who took him to Milan is also keen.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has also been a big admirer of the 34-year old. A source told the Mail on Sunday: ‘Harry Redknapp has always been a great admirer of David, as a player and as a person, and particularly of the way he has won back his place in the England squad. If he wanted to return to the Premier League, the club would definitely take him.’
When recently asked if he would consider playing for a diferent Premier League side, Beckham said: ‘Never say never. I’d definitely consider it. ‘When I left, my heart was in Manchester – I couldn’t see myself playing against United. Now I wouldn’t rule it out.’
