Tottenham legend Micky Hazard has backed Destiny Udogie to evolve into the greatest left-back that the club have had in their history.

Udogie has had an excellent start to his Tottenham career and has already become a fan favourite at the club.

The 20-year-old has shown maturity beyond his years and has looked quite comfortable in Ange Postecolgou’s system despite operating almost exclusively as a wing-back during his time at Udinese.

The Italian has already showcased that he is one of the best across the Premier League in defending one vs one, managing to keep the likes of Mohamed Salah and Bukayo Saka relatively quiet.

The youngster has also displayed excellent technical quality and awareness of what is around him, making the right choice of passes more often than not.

What is most impressive about Udogie is the calmness he exudes, which is rare for someone so young. From his demeanour, he looks like someone who has played more than 100 Premier League games rather than a player who is getting his first taste of English football.
