Spurs revenue figures show that the club have generated more than £50million for the first half of the season, despite the club not playing in Europe.
The figure has dropped from £54.9million to £53.5million, but is seen as a success considering the lack of European football this season and Daniel Levy has heaped praise on Harry Redknapp for bring the good feeling back to White Hart Lane.
“We have enjoyed a period of consistently good performances and remained near the top of the league and in contention for Champions League qualification.
“Our performances during this period, in particular the manner in which we started the season, presented the starkest of contrasts to the corresponding period the previous year which had seen out poorest ever start to a season.
“As there had been no overhaul of the squad during the summer transfer window and major changes to key positions, these good performances were delivered by a cohesive and settled team of players.”
And Levy believes that financial figures will improves further following on-pitch performances
“We continue to be ambitious for the club both on and off the pitch. Off the pitch out two major capital expenditure projects are making progress – they require considerable dedication of resources, both financial and management time, but will be key to ensuring the future competitiveness and success of our club.
“On the pitch, we have continued to invest in the playing squad and this period saw a welcome and rewarding turnaround in our performances which we anticipate should have a positive impact on the financial results for the second half of the season.”
