Harry Redknapp admitted that he was pleased that Daniel Levy made the move to bring Rafael van der Vaart to Tottenham.
Redknapp mentioned to Levy over the summer that he was interested in the Dutch midfielder and Levy’s persistence has paid off after Van Der Vaart scored his first goal in Tottenham’s 3-1 win against Wolves.
“Yeah, probably,” Redknapp said when asked if such matters have been resigning matters for managers in the past.
“He was on a list that we’d bandied about three months ago.
“I watched him play for Holland against Norway in Amsterdam and liked him.
“He’s a good player and he’ll link in with how we want to play.”
