Five of Tottenham’s first-team stars are now into the final year of their contracts at the club, with GiveMeSport revealing that the North London club could clear close to half a million per week from their wage bill if they all leave.
Last week, we relayed a report from The Times which claimed that apart from reinforcing a couple of areas, Tottenham’s priority in the January transfer window will be to offload unwanted players.
That report listed both Hugo Lloris and Eric Dier among the players who Spurs could look to move on when the transfer window opens.
Tottenham could let some contracts run down
However, those two are not the only ones whose contracts run out next June, with two other goalkeepers, Fraser Forster and Brandan Austin, also into the final year of their deals.
In addition, Ivan Perisic, who is currently out with an ACL injury, will also be a free agent next June.
If none of those players signs new contracts, GiveMeSport reveals that their departures would free up 450k per week from their wage bill.

Among the aforementioned players, the only one I could see signing a new contract at the club is Forster. If the 35-year-old does not show major signs of decline this season, I can see him being offered a one-year extension, with Tottenham putting off signing a backup goalkeeper until 2025.
