Tottenham loanee Pape Matar Sarr has been graded as the joint-ninth most valuable U23 player in his position, according to the latest CIES Football Observatory rankings.
The rankings – conducted annually – use scientific methodologies to give a better representation of football players’ values.
This year’s list has ranked Tottenham summer signing Sarr as the joint-ninth best central midfielder in the world under the age of 23.
Spurs completed the signing of the 19-year-old in August for around £15 million, but loaned him back to Ligue 1 side Metz for the 2021/22 campaign.
Sarr – who has made 17 appearances this season – has since been valued at approximately 30 million (£25.7m) and on a level par with Crystal Palace’s Connor Gallagher.
The list is topped by Borussia Dortmund and England star Jude Bellingham, with the 18-year-old said to be worth an eye-watering 120 million (£103m).
Meanwhile, Liverpool’s Curtis Jones (£60m) and West Ham midfielder Declan Rice (£60m) both follow up Bellingham by taking joint-second place.

Sarr has been widely tipped to be a future star in midfield and at just 19-years-old, it is pretty encouraging to see him on a list with so many top names. Hopefully, he is able to complete his loan spell at Metz without a hitch so he is able to make a break into the Spurs first-team next season.
