Football.London’s Alasdair Gold believes that seven Tottenham youngsters, including Pape Matar Sarr and Dane Scarlett, could have an impact on the first-team next season, potentially saving Spurs some money in the transfer window.

Gold revealed that Sarr adapted quickly to life in France when he arrived at Metz and that Tottenham will be hoping he does the same when he arrives at the club in the summer at the end of his loan spell with the Ligue 1 club.

He also stated that Spurs have high hopes for Scarlett and believe he could fulfil his potential if he improves his strength and hold up play.

The journalist also named Bryan Gil on his list but added that Antonio Conte wants the youngster to strengthen his body to cope with the demands of the Premier League.

Gold also said that Kion Etete, who is impressing on loan at Cheltenham Town, could be someone Conte takes a closer look at in the summer, and predicted that Alfie Devine will get an opportunity to impress the Spurs boss during pre-season friendlies.

Finally, the journalist also named defender Maksim Paskotsi and striker Jamie Donley as ones to keep an eye on ahead of next season.

The fact that Gold has not named Troy Parrott in this list is quite telling in terms of how much the youngster’s stock has fallen over the last year or so.

While the Republic of Ireland international could be a late bloomer like Harry Kane, he would certainly have to do better than he has done during his loan spells to stake a claim for a place in the first-team.
