Fabio Paratici has just come off the back of his first transfer window at Tottenham Hotspur with plenty of activity with new incomings and some long-serving players heading for the exit.
One piece of business which Paratici managed to complete was the capture of Pape Matar Sarr, who became the fourth player to be signed by Spurs since the Italian took up the role of managing director of football.
The 18-year-old will spend the remainder of the season at Metz, having appeared in all four of their Ligue 1 matches (transfermarkt).
The Daily Mail have claimed that the defensive midfielder could have moved to England much earlier in his career with Manchester City having tabled an £80,000 offer of around for him when he was a nine-year-old, however, the player decided to remain in his native Senegal.
Sarr progressed through the Generation Foot Academy in Senegal before moving to Metz in September of last year.

Tottenham appear to have landed one of the most highly rated teenagers currently playing in Europe and he could go on to make the defensive midfield role his own for many years if he keeps improving at the impressive rate he is currently displaying at Metz.
Manchester City are always on the lookout for the next big thing, it is refreshing that some players cannot be swayed by a move so early on in their career and it looks to have paid dividends.
