TEAMtalk have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are one of several Premier League clubs eyeing moves for Wolves winger Pedro Neto in January.
After an injury-hit 2022-22 campaign, which vastly reduced his game time, Neto has begun the new season in fantastic form, having delivered impressive displays against the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City.
It has now emerged that a number of clubs across the top flight are now taking notice of the Portuguese star’s performances.
Tottenham Hotspur join the race for Pedro Neto
The report states that Spurs are considering a move for the attacker and are joined in the race for his signature by Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Aston Villa.
While Saudi Pro League clubs are also said to be eyeing Neto, the winger is thought to be keen on remaining in England.
TEAMtalk also revealed that they spoke to transfer insider Graeme Bailey about the situation, with the journalist revealing that the 23-year-old and his agent Jorgen Mendes are ‘confident’ that a transfer will go through in January.
The outlet adds that Wolves are open to cashing in on Neto as long as their £50m valuation is met.
Spurs Web Opinion
The long-term injury to Perisic has necessitated a move for a wide player in January and Neto would be a perfect fit for Postecoglou’s system and would hit the ground running, given the experience he has in the Premier League.
If the former Braga man can stay injury-free until January, Tottenham should not think twice about paying £50m for him as it would be money well spent.
