Arsenal have received a boost ahead of their trip to Tottenham on Sunday, with Mikel Arteta confirming that Bukayo Saka will be fit for the clash.
The North London derby is undoubtedly Tottenham’s biggest game of the season so far, with Antonio Conte’s men finding themselves 11 points behind the Gunners heading into the clash.
Spurs will take confidence from the fact that their local rivals have not won at their ground since 2014 but the Lilywhites could be without some key players for the clash.
Football Daily revealed today that while Dejan Kulusevski and Yves Bissouma had returned to training, Rodrigo Bentancur and Richarlison were missing, while there is still no clarity on the injury to Lucas Moura.
It looked like Arsenal could have a key injury absentee of their own when Saka was forced off with a painful knock on his leg in the 75th minute of their 3-0 FA Cup win over Oxford United yesterday.
However, Arteta said after the game that he expects the England international to be fit for the trio at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. When asked about Saka, the Arsenal boss told ITV Sport 09/01/23 (as relayed by The Daily Express): “Yeah, he’s fine. He’ll be okay.”

If we lose this game, Arsenal would have more or less ensured that they finish above us for the first time in seven years as a 14-point gap will be impossible to bridge. However, despite the form that the Gunners are in, I am quite confident that we could get a result if both Kulusevski and Bentancur start the game.
