London World have revealed that Crystal Palace will demand £60m for Tottenham target Marc Guehi this summer.

It has been widely reported over recent weeks that Spurs are set to make wholesale changes at centre-back ahead of Ange Postecoglou’s first season in charge (Football.London).

If some reports over the last few days are to be believed, Tottenham appear to be on the verge of strengthening the position, with The Athletic claiming on Tuesday that the Lilywhites are confident of winning the race for Wolfsburg’s Micky van de Ven.

Guehi is another young centre-back rumoured to be on Spurs’ radar, with Alasdair Gold stating on his YouTube channel two weeks ago that the North London club ‘love’ the 22-year-old and hold a ‘massive interest’ in him.

Crystal Palace want a big fee for Guehi this summer

London World have now also backed up Spurs’ interest in Guehi, claiming that the centre-back ticks ‘all the boxes’ for Postecoglou’s men, given his age, homegrown status and Premier League experience.

However, the publication asserts that it would take a fee of around £60m to lure the England international away from Selhurst Park this summer.

The report adds that Arsenal are also eyeing Guehi as a backup to William Saliba but as things stand, no club has made contact with Palace regarding the centre-back.

London World add that while Roy Hodgson’s men are not desperate to sell the former Chelsea man this summer, a big offer for the player might be ‘too good to turn down’.

Spurs Web Opinion

Spending £50m-£60m on Guehi would arguably be a very sound investment as the centre-back would instantly improve our backline, having had a couple of years of Premier League experience under his belt.

The 22-year-old could potentially give a decade of service to Tottenham and evidently possess leadership qualities.
