A fresh report has shed some light on Hugo Lloris’ search for a new club this summer, and suggests that the Frenchman has already rejected Fiorentina, but is interested in joining PSG.

One of the more disappointing elements of a disastrous campaign for Tottenham last year was the poor form of club captain and number one goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris.

Given the rapid regression of Lloris, it’s no wonder Ange Postecoglou moved quickly to make Italian goalkeeper, Guglielmo Vicario, his first signing as Spurs boss.

Lloris has just one year left on his current contract, and is expected to be one of the players allowed to leave Tottenham during the summer transfer window (Evening Standard).

According to the Daily Record, PSG would be keen to sign Lloris as a back-up to their current number one, Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Hugo Lloris interested in moving to PSG this summer

While no decision has been made regarding Lloris’ next step, it appears the 36-year-old has plenty of offers on the table, and has already turned down one approach.

The latest information comes courtesy of RMC Sport, who claim Lloris has “rejected an offer” from Fiorentina. It is believed an offer from Saudi side Al-Hilal is also not what Lloris was hoping for.

The report adds that Inter Milan have “also shown an interest,” though the Italian giants are thought to be more keen on Yann Sommer.

That leaves PSG, who have apparently “taken information” about Lloris. While “nothing concrete” has developed at this stage, it sounds like Lloris “is open to the idea” of a move back to France and is “seduced” by PSG’s “project.”

It would be a shame to see Lloris move somewhere where he would be the second-choice keeper, so hopefully he finds a decent club that will give him regular game time.

It doesn’t sound like PSG will offer that, but the idea of being back in France, on a good contract, and most likely winning a trophy or two, will be hard to turn down.
